Russ you have lived, and continue to live, an interesting life! You are a "man of the world" and I'm glad to be able to read about your travels. Your greater family admires your writing skills. Merry Christmas cuz Bob
It all rings so true, Russ. When I rolled into SF after a stint in the Army, I lived with my sister and her boyfriend in the front room of an old Victorian on Hyde and Bay streets. The cable car cables would begin clanking at 6 am and stop at 2 am the next morning. I’d always “hear” the sudden silence when asleep (although in those days, I was often awake at 2 am, if you get my drift . . . )
Thanks for reviving some special memories - Buena Vista is the best, especially at night when the singing spontaneously starts!
Russ - Brillant! Do you ever sleep?
Thanks Bob! Some stuff writes itself!
